lead detection technology. Their devices are the most
accurate, safe & non-destructive tools that provides laboratory
grade testing at your home or place of business. These devices
are the same equipment used by border agents and inspectors
all over the world to screen imported consumer products
arriving from China, India, Mexico, and beyond.
Screening Costs
$150 per hour
Typical home takes 1 to 3 hours, depending on the # of children and the amount of toys.
Cancellation Fee $50. within 48 hours of appointment

Steps Involved in an Inspection
Step 1: The Inspect-A-Toy technician meets you at your home or
place of business and provides an overview of the testing process and
the equipment used.
Step 2: The client identifies items to be tested.
Step 3: The technician begins testing.
Step 4: After all items are screened, the technician discusses the
results of the test with the client.
Step 5: Upon request, Inspect-A-Toy will generate a full report
containing detailed information about each item that was tested.

Step 1: The Inspect-A-Toy technician meets you at your home or

Step 2: The client identifies items to be tested.
Step 3: The technician begins testing.
- Items are tested one or more times using the handheld XRF
analyzer. Each test takes approximately 30 to 60 seconds. - Items are separated Pass / Fail.
- Element quantity and spectral analysis results are recorded for
each test. This shows both numerically and graphically how
much lead and other elements are contained in the item. - Each item may be recorded digitally by photograph for our
records.
Step 4: After all items are screened, the technician discusses the
results of the test with the client.
Step 5: Upon request, Inspect-A-Toy will generate a full report
containing detailed information about each item that was tested.
